The photographs were collected over the past century, when the place of a women place in society evolved from not having the right to vote to having a seat on the Supreme Court. The struggle to gain these rights are documented by photographers like Fannie Lou Hamer and Jeannette Rankin.

Summary:  This moving project captures images of the youngest patients in portrait form. Flashes of Hope, a nonprofit organization founded in Ohio, was created in part to ensure that no family buries a child whose living image was never captured in a photo. It also captures the beauty of children who are struggling with cancer and other illness--in many cases making the day of these kids. Professional photographers are relied on to be volunteers.

Summary:  Life magazine photographer Horace Bristol spent the early years of his career in the town of the Golden Gate. The photojournalist had work that swept the history of the 20th Century. His poignant portaits of migrant farm workers in the California Central Valley, in collaboration with writer John Steinbeck, later inspired the novel The Grapes of Wrath. A personal tragedy in 1956 led him to destroy many of his negatives.

Summary:  This critically-accliamed exhibition of evocative and haunting images bear witness to the passion of the photographer/filmmaker for birds, particulary the pelican. For more than a decade, she has traveled from Florida to California to Wyoming and Utah then North Dakota and Louisiana. Her travels have been made by foot, in canoes, on airboats and on all terrain vehicles in order to capture on film these large birds. The images combine portrait and landscape images.
